Henstone Distillery was established in Oswestry, Shropshire, United Kingdom in 2017 by Chris and Alexandra Toller. Following a restructure in 2023, Mike Harris acquired 50% and the company relocated to a farm on Long Mountain owned by him.

The distillery is located at Dingle Farm, Trewern Shropshire. We spent several years planning our venture and after receiving a grant from the RDPE we installed an impressive 1000 litre still, affectionately named Hilda. Hilda was manufactured by Kothe in Germany and supplied to us by their UK agents Ryebeck Limited. 

Our aim was and still is to create the best quality products for people like us who enjoy sophisticated, classic spirits, but with that small batch twist.

We’re all passionate about the high calibre spirits that we’re producing and are looking forward to utilising Hilda’s many talents to create even more fabulous drinks. 

The name Henstone originates from the family homes of the original co-founders. Chris and Alex live in an ex-public house called “The Hen and Chickens”, whilst the previous partners live in “Stone House”.
