These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the website thegreatbritishfarmshop.co.uk (“Platform”) and purchases made through it.
By using the Platform or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
1. ABOUT US
The GB Farm Shop Ltd (“GBFS”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates an online marketplace connecting customers with independent British producers (“Producers”).
GBFS provides the Platform but does not manufacture, sell, or fulfil products listed unless explicitly stated.
2. MARKETPLACE MODEL
2.1 Seller of Products
Products listed on the Platform are sold directly by independent Producers.
The Producer named on the product listing and checkout page is the seller of record responsible for:
- product quality and safety;
- fulfilment and delivery;
- compliance with consumer rights obligations; and
- handling product-related enquiries.
2.2 Role of GBFS
GBFS facilitates orders, processes payments, and may assist with customer service or dispute resolution. GBFS is not a party to the contract of sale between you and the Producer.
3. CANCELLATIONS
Where applicable, you may cancel your order under the Consumer Contracts Regulations within 14 days of delivery unless the goods are exempt.
Exempt products may include:
- perishable food items;
- goods made to order or personalised items; or
- sealed goods unsuitable for return once opened.
Cancellation requests should be directed to the Producer via contact details provided in your order confirmation.
4. RETURNS & REFUNDS
Refund and return decisions are made by the Producer in accordance with applicable consumer law.
GBFS may assist with processing refunds and communications but acts on behalf of the Producer.
Refunds, where approved, will be issued to the original payment method.
5. DAMAGED OR INCORRECT ITEMS
If goods arrive damaged, faulty, or incorrect, you should contact the Producer as soon as possible and provide supporting evidence such as photographs.
GBFS may intervene where required to help resolve disputes fairly.
6. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
You agree to:
- provide accurate delivery information;
- ensure someone is available to receive deliveries where required;
- comply with any age-verification requirements; and
- use the Platform lawfully.
7. LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Producers are responsible for products supplied through the Platform;
- GBFS is not liable for losses arising from product defects, delivery delays, or Producer actions.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
8. DATA PROTECTION
GBFS processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
Customer details are shared with Producers solely for order fulfilment and customer service purposes.
9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All Platform content, branding, and design remain the property of GBFS or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.
10. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will apply to future orders from the date of publication.
11. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
