This Shipping Policy applies to orders placed via thegreatbritishfarmshop.co.uk (the "Platform").
1. MARKETPLACE MODEL
The GB Farm Shop Ltd ("GBFS") operates an online marketplace connecting customers with independent British Producers. Products are packed and dispatched directly by the Producer named on the product page.
Shipping arrangements may therefore vary slightly between Producers.
2. SHIPPING AREAS
Delivery is currently available to mainland UK only.
Orders cannot be delivered to certain postcodes due to courier limitations. Any excluded locations will be identified at checkout.
3. ORDER PROCESSING TIMES
Most orders are processed and dispatched within 1 working day of order confirmation unless otherwise stated on the product listing.
Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed on the next working day.
4. DELIVERY TIMEFRAMES
Standard delivery typically occurs within 2–5 working days after dispatch.
Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by:
- courier performance;
- weather conditions;
- seasonal demand; or
- rural delivery locations.
5. SHIPPING COSTS
Unless otherwise stated, product prices displayed on the Platform include standard delivery charges.
Where additional delivery charges apply, these will be clearly shown at checkout before payment.
6. SPLIT SHIPMENTS
As products may be supplied by different Producers, items within a single order may arrive in separate deliveries and at different times.
7. PERISHABLE & CHILLED GOODS
Many products sold via the Platform are perishable food items.
Producers may use insulated packaging, ice packs, or chilled delivery services to maintain product quality during transit.
Customers should ensure that perishable deliveries are received promptly and refrigerated or frozen immediately upon arrival.
GBFS and Producers are not responsible for deterioration caused by delayed acceptance or improper storage after delivery.
8. TRACKING INFORMATION
Where available, tracking details will be provided via email once your order has been dispatched.
9. FAILED OR MISSED DELIVERIES
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information and ensuring safe access for delivery.
Additional delivery charges may apply where re-delivery is required due to incorrect information or missed deliveries.
10. DELIVERY DELAYS
While Producers aim to meet stated delivery timeframes, delays outside reasonable control may occur.
GBFS and Producers are not liable for delays caused by courier disruption, extreme weather, or other external events.
11. DAMAGED, MISSING, OR INCORRECT ITEMS
If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or incorrect, please contact the Producer using the details provided in your order confirmation as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours of delivery.
GBFS may assist in facilitating communication and resolution where required.
12. AGE-RESTRICTED GOODS
Certain deliveries may require age verification upon delivery. Failure to provide valid identification may result in refusal of delivery.
